Panel Description IROs are on the front lines daily with Wall Street and the financial media, communicating their company’s strategy to shareholders while conveying investor feedback to the C-suite and the Board. As the number of activist funds continue to rise, directors are increasingly relying on IROs to keep them apprised of shareholder sentiment. The panel will discuss ways in which IROs can efficiently and effectively maintain a regular dialogue with directors.

Speaker Bios David M. Bobker - Vice President, Corporate Governance & Board Evaluations David is responsible for the development, growth and execution of the Corporate Governance Intelligence Council and Board Evaluation Service both domestically and internationally.  During his career, he has worked closely with the board and management of hundreds of U.S. public companies, representing them through a wide variety of corporate actions, proxy fights, M&A situations, and both annual and special meetings.  He has helped companies navigate thousands of shareholder proposals from a diverse crowd of governance activists.  David provides insightful, tailored corporate governance advisory and engagement services.  He is a recognized industry expert in the areas of corporate governance, institutional activism, executive compensation and shareholder engagement.  David has been on the forefront of analyzing investor perceptions and the interpretation of proxy issues, assisting clients and providing council on all aspects of their year-round shareholder engagement and communications strategies. 

Originally from West Sussex, England, he has resided on Long Island, NY, since 1992 and is a graduate of New York Institute of Technology.

Renee Budig - Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer Renee Budig oversees all financial operations, programmatic revenue channels, data products and reporting teams, and all technology operations teams.

Prior to joining CBS Interactive, Renee served as the Chief Financial Officer for YouSendIt, Vice President of Finance at Netflix, VERTIAS Software and at Quantum Corporation. An accomplished executive with 25 years’ experience, Renee was recognized by the San Jose Business Journal as Chief Financial Officer of the Year for Venture-backed Companies in 2011. Renee also serves on the Board of Chegg, where she is the Audit Committee Chair.

Renee holds a BS in Business Administration from UC Berkeley.

Randi Paikoff Feigin - President and CFO, Arx Pax Labs, Inc. Randi is a dynamic Silicon Valley leader with a successful track record that includes 20 years of cross-functional experience in both corporate and Wall Street environments. As President and CFO of Arx Pax she is accountable for day to day execution of the strategy as well as full financial oversight.

Randi spent over a decade at Juniper Networks in a variety of leadership and operational roles. As a “mini-CEO” she doubled the revenue of a strategic alliance to $400M in the first 18 months of taking over the business, which was previously declining. She was responsible for increasing the company’s productivity by transforming the business processes globally and led the change management initiatives to ensure adoption. Randi was first hired into Juniper to spearhead the IPO, then managed all follow on financings as well as investor relations and employee communications. Prior to her tenure at Juniper, Randi held management positions at Cisco Systems and StrataCom (purchase by Cisco for $4B). Early in her career, she worked in the equity research departments of Morgan Stanley, Smith Barney, and Robertson Stephens. Randi graduated with a B.S. in finance from Ithaca College. She served on the board of directors at Extreme Networks (NASDAQ: EXTR), including the Audit and Strategy committees, and the National Investor Relations Institute. In her spare time, she mentors high school girls regarding career options, enjoys skiing, doing yoga and spending time with her family.

Stephanie Wakefield, VP of IR, Box Stephanie leads Box’s investor relations team. Previously, Stephanie headed up Informatica’s global Investor Relations team from 2003 through 2015. With a capital markets and marketing background, Stephanie took on the IR function in late 2003, when company had a ~$200m run rate and a market cap < $1 billion and helped drive recognition for growth to a $1+ billion revenue company with a market cap exceeding $5 billion. Prior to Investor Relations, Stephanie was a product and solutions marketer for Informatica and Microstrategy.

Stephanie started her career focusing on Eurobond issuance on the Debt Capital Markets desk at Deutsche Bank Securities. She has been honored by the American Business Awards with a Stevie Award as the Communications, PR or IR Executive of the Year 2011. Stephanie is also a two-time Institutional Investor All America Executive team member (2009, 2011).

Stephanie graduated from Dartmouth College with a B.A. in Economics and in Asian Studies (Chinese). She holds an MSc in Development Finance from the University of London School of Oriental and African Studies.
